Allegro Art is owned and operated by Kass/Meridian.
Kass/Meridian--a gallery of contemporary and modern prints, paintings and sculptures--offers an extensive collection of contemporary and modern 20th century American and European prints by master artists, such as Dali, Albers, Braque, Buffet, Calder, Francis, Frankenthaler, Lichtenstein, Marini, Miró, Motherwell, Vasarely and Warhol. Inventorying a wide selection of art with an emphasis on works on paper, the gallery seeks to satisfy both the casual art buyer and the established collector.
Kass/Meridian, established over 25 years ago by Alan Kass and Grace Kass, has been located in the River North area of Chicago since 1986.
As art dealers, the Kasses have had multi-faceted careers: operating a public gallery; dealing privately; publishing and/or distributing editions by such artists as Marino Marini, Karel Appel, Victor Vasarely and Joan Miró and participating in numerous national and international art fairs in the United States, Europe, South America and Asia, including FIAC in Paris, The European Fine Art and Antiques Fair in Maastricht and Arte Fiera in Bologna.
